Every rescued dog deserves the opportunity to be loved, and every person deserves to experience the love of a dog. We are working to build a responsible rescue and placement program that will rehabilitate, train, and thoughtfully place rescued dogs with qualified individuals. This includes people living with mental health challenges or disabilities.
Where We're Headed
Our Vision
The Grounded by Nature Foundation Rescue & Placement Initiative is currently in development. Our goal is to create a thoughtful, community-supported program that rescues dogs in need, provides them with proper rehabilitation and training, and places them with individuals and families who will benefit most from their companionship. We believe in doing this work carefully, responsibly, and with deep respect for both the animals and the people we serve.

Program Pillars
What We Are Building
Rescue & Rehabilitation
We plan to partner with local shelters and rescue networks to identify dogs who are good candidates for rehabilitation and therapeutic placement. Each dog will receive individualized care, training, and support before any placement is made.
Thoughtful Placement
Placements will be made with care and intention. We will work closely with applicants, including veterans, individuals living with mental health challenges, and families, to ensure each match is the right fit for both the person and the dog.
Ongoing Support
Our commitment does not end at placement. We intend to provide ongoing support, resources, and check-ins to ensure every placement is successful and that both the dog and the individual continue to thrive.
Community Partnerships
Building this program will require strong community partnerships. We are actively seeking relationships with shelters, trainers, mental health providers, and other organizations who share our values and can help us grow responsibly.

When the time is right, we will launch this program thoughtfully — starting small, learning as we go, and growing in a way that always puts the welfare of dogs and people first.
